In 1911 graduated from the Stroganov Art School. Author of sceneries of Bolshoi Theatre and Zimin Opera Stagings. Worked at Dyaghilev’s Russian Seasons in Paris. One of the founders of Soviet satire drawings and posters. Also one of the founders and an active participant of “ROST Windows” (Window displays of posters satire). Worked for many illustrated magazines.
