DOLGORUKOV NIKOLAY ANDREYEVICH

Ekatreinburg, 1902 – Moscow, 1980

 

In 1928-1932 studied at the Higher Art & Tech Institute in Moscow at L.A. Bruni’s and D.S. Moor’s workshops.

Participated in exhibitions since1928.

Worked mostly in the sphere of political satire posters.

Worked for the newspapers “Izvestiya”, “Pravda”, “Krasnaya Zvezda” and for the magazines “Prozhector”, “Sovetsky Voin” and “Ogonyok”.

His works were displayed at the following exhibitions abroad:

  • 1930 – Danzig;
  • 1932 – Brussels;
  • 1933 – Chicago, Madrid, Paris;
  • 1943 – London;
  • 1948 – Vienna (1st degree diploma);
  • 1953 – Wroclaw and others.

In 1963 the artist was awarded the title of Honoured Worker of Arts. In 1969 he was awarded with the Medal of the Soviet Peace Funds.
